Saklıkent Gorge Trekking & River Walk

Saklıkent Gorge cuts 18 km into the Taurus Mountains and reaches depths of 300 metres — making it one of the deepest gorges in Europe. The walk takes you through waist-high icy snowmelt water between towering rock walls that block out the sun. Exhilarating and unlike anything else in Turkey.

Itinerary

09:00 — Fethiye pickup. 10:00 — Gorge entry and 2 km river wade into the canyon. 12:30 — Riverside lunch at a traditional platform restaurant over the gorge. 14:00 — Return hike. 15:30 — Transfer back to Fethiye.

Physical Requirements

• Moderate fitness required
• Water can reach waist-depth in some sections
• Minimum age: 8 years
• Not suitable in the first two weeks after heavy rain
